Performance Swimmer

Perth Teenager, Stephen Milne (19) represented Scotland as part of the Aquatic Team in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in summer 2014.  He was a finalist in the 1500m, 400m and a Silver Medallist in the Men's 400m Relay.

The young swimmer, who has been a key part of the Scottish Gold Squad for the past 3 years, has been a member of Perth City Swim Club since he was only 9 years old and continues to train with them weekly at LAL's Perth Leisure Pool.

His training is supported by the Institute of Sport via Live Active Leisure; strength training at Bell's Sport Centre with Gil Stevenson and Lifestyle coaching are all part of his busy schedule. The key element, however, is swimming, with 6 of his 9 current weekly water sessions taking place in Perth Leisure Pool, including 2 hours on Tuesday mornings from 06.30 to 08.30 directly supported by LiveActive Leisure.

Stephen is currently studying for BSc Hons Environmental Science at Perth College UHI.
